A person in our Park here in Pasco County Fl had a shed del today its close to the house and they are cutting the side out of the House and the Shed to put a Doorway into the shed from the house i told them they need a Permit to do that and they just laughed said we put in two doors without a permit and HOA didn't say anything did you telling HOA i ask no we don't have to tell them everything we own our Land in this Park.But they are very good friends with the President so i guess in some HOA'S thats all you need.

Generally speaking, HOAs don't enforce local laws, and government entities do not enforce HOA covenants.

If there was an HOA ARC approval and the approval specified that a government permit was required and had to be followed, then there would be room to make the case that the association could act.

If you feel that an owner has violated local building ordinances or permit requirements that would be something to pursue with Code Enforcement, the Building Department or other city/county agencies, not the association.
