For those that may not be aware, Officer positions are different then Director positions.
Often, Directors also serve as Officers. When this occurs, that individual simply has two jobs.

As a Director, they vote on motions that affect the Association.

As an Officer, they implement the motions approved by the Board and perform the daily tasks of running the HOA.

To answer the question:

I was surprised that I could not find anything within the statutes to address the issue one way or the other.
I may have missed it.

Well said by Tim. There is often confusion on Directors versus Officers. Typically all Officers are also Directors but not all Directors are Officers.

So, Annette. Your Subj. Line is "Appointment to the Board.,"which I just noticed. Board members and directors mean the same thing. Owners vote for board members/directors at a meeting of owners, i.e., a "meetings of the members." If a vacancy occurs on the board for whatever reason, most bylaws state that the directors appoint the replacement director.

But you asked about the president & VP. Owners do NOT vote for those officers., only board members do.

Are you on the Board??
