In September 2021, Governor Cooper signed HB 320 (short title: “Modernize Remote Business Access”) into law thus allowing HOA annual meetings to be conducted remotely online and how to vote using online electronic means.
Prior to Cooper signing the bill into law, HOAs in North Carolina were under the governor's executive order during Covid to have their annual meetings online but with paper ballots afterwards sent to all members of the HOA eligible to vote. That changed when Cooper signed the bill. HOAs could meet online but voting could be by paper ballot, electronic ballot or both.
I'm curious as to how your HOA performed the necessary notices, voting, etc if your annual meeting was done via an online remote site such as Zoom.
