Hi everyone! Currently looking for a security guard service wanted to see what you guys thought is the best approach to hiring and finding security guard service.

What do you believe is a fair price, pros and cons of the service and best way to reach out to one/get the best price possible.

I don't think that is really in our lane on this site. You can hire off duty police or hire a security company. What would the benefit be to have this security service in place?

We don't know what kinds of security services you have in mind? Does your HOA need someone to cruise your premises in a car to deter vandalism in a large detached home HOA? Do you need one top put notices on parking violators? Do you just need an officer at a gated entrance to control access? Do you need an officer to monitor the swimming pool(s) and other recreational amenities?

Our urban 2 condo high rises need an access control officer in a kiosk at our gated vehicle entrance 24/7, and a 2nd officer 20/24 to do "roves" of the premises, get parcels from our Parcel Room for Residents. We pay a little above minimum wage and give raises every year. A supervisor etc somewhat more.

I'd check with HOAs similar to yours for what security services they need and what they pay. Assuming your'e on the board, you might interview a board member at those HOAs, or the community manager. I think that first, visit some websites to see what available.

Maybe try this one: https://apg-svcs.com/does-your-hoa-need-security-officers/

Get proposals from guard companies. Read online reviews about guard companies, ask for referrals from other clients. The going rate here in southern Nevada is
in the ballpark of $250-$350k per year. Some other factors to ponder, you you want patrol service? The price I stated is for one guard one gate per 8 hour shift.
