This is too vague – is your community still under the developer’s control (I assume that’s what you mean by deo?) If so, your ability to get some information may be limited because as long as the developer is in control, it can do practically anything until the community’s turned over to homeowners.

What sort of account (yours?) and what’s with the original decision – are you talking about an exterior change request? Then you ask about ballots from members – are you talking about an election, opinion poll, what?

And have you read your documents to see what they say about owner access to association records (you won’t get EVERYTHING) – you should start by reading them. Did you contact the developer to see if they received your request and if so, who’s working on this because it’s been two months? Did you receive an acknowledgment that the request was received (things can and do get lost or misplaced – or misplaced on purpose)

I agree the post is to vague to solicit any valid responses.

Unless your from fl you won’t know what the deo does it revitalized old hoa ,covenants that expired.they are suppose to do it by meetings but ours was done by ballots .fl sunshine act requires all public documents to be available to the public upon request.the deo has ignored all four request, the hoa has ignored multiple request for hoa documents.the hoa is in fl so it’s under the sunshine act.if the state agency ignores the sunshine act what does one do,

What medium did you use to submit the request? Snail mail? This site: https://floridajobs.org/help-center---contact-us/public-records-request-form?

Notice the link at the site above, for emailing DEO with questions or concerns. Have you tried it?

Did you get any acknowledgment from DEO, indicating it received your request?

HOAs are subject to certain HOA laws that require a certain amount of "sunshine." They are not legally subject to Florida's government sunshine laws. Just sayin'.
