Hi,

I'm looking for a board member or manager of a condo to share approximately how much the association pays for utilities each month or each year.

How many units? High rise? How many towers? If mine's nothing like yours, I don't think my info will be useful for you.

That seems too broad of a question to get useful information. If you’re talking about a condo, are you only looking at what the association would cover for the common area, such as electricity to run elevators and light up the hallways? Does the association assessments cover basic utilities for all the residents and if so, which ones (water, electricity, gas, trash, etc.) You’re in New York and the cost of living there will be different than in another state, along with the weather.

You may want to contact the utility providers in your area – they may have worked up some averages for condo communities.

The cost will vary based on the number of units if it is for just the common area or built-in as part of the assessments. I have seen two 100-unit condos pay $1200.00 for trash pickup and the other $2500.00. Water prices are all over the place and gas is now through the roof.
