I recently received past couple of years board minutes/newsletters that I was reading over and contained "unit owner in *** has not taken drug test yet".
So I am assuming my HOA is now drug testing.Should this be listed in the deed or documents somewhere?

Why do you assume the HOA is doing it? Could there be more to this story? Like law enforcement requirement? I know of no HOA that would be giving Drug testing. My first blush would think this person is on parole for something or an employee of the HOA? Otherwise, there has to be more to the story than what you just read.

What Melissa said. I don't know why this would be in the minutes or newsletter anyway - that's no ones business, even if it is true.

So, which was it? A newsletter? Or minutes from a board meeting? Are you on the board now?

I don't think I'd jump to the conclusion that all Owners are being tested for drugs.

Why not ask the author of whatever you read what the meaning of it is. does it apply to anyone else?

I'd also worry about some sort of defanagtio issue since the owner's name or address was published.

Don't assume. Ask the Board.
