We have a large "Island" in the middle of our street. It is there for some speed control and maybe to deal with a sewer pipe. All the streets have them in some shape or form. The one by my house happens to be the largest. When I bought my house knew it was there and did not choose the lot next door because of it. There are 4 houses that driveways are effected. It split the road in half. Thins it down considerably where one vehicle can fit only.

The streets are no parking. Driveways are set up that with 2 car garage you can fit an additional 2-4 cars in the driveway. (4 tightly my other neighbor does). The other neighbor has 1 large truck and parks 1 car inside the garage. They are the ones where the island is directly behind.

It just happens I was home today. Came home to find a car parked in front of my house! I am like??? How they parked left the space of 1 car before you hit the curb of the island. Not enough room for a large truck or school bus to navigate around. Plus the HOA "Police" would see it and write me the fine for it.

So I posted on our community page that it wasn't a complaint but... Please don't park and block it. Well the "excuse" came from the neighbor that their friend parked there and had left enough room. The other day they were the same one who left their car parked clearly in the middle where no one could pass at all. A school bus was nearly stuck. I could not get my mail today because they parked nearly in front of my mailbox.

This neighbor acts like the rules don't apply to them. Already violating multiple other HOA rules. What I also could not understand... Their driveway had NO car parked there! It wasn't like they could not had their friend parking in their driveway. May had to re-arrange the cars but why leave a car parked on the road blocking an entire lane? Plus have your neighbors possibly get written up by the HOA for illegal parking for a car they have no clue who owns?

This post is just for venting... Still it still amazes me that you have clueless neighbors who can't get the concept of why there is no street parking and NOT to park in a one lane stretch. No one else can park even with or without that "island". Why are you so special??? ARGGH!!!

It used to be back in the day A Holes like that were towed in a hot second. Unfortunately in this day and age, Legislators passed laws that forbid
the towing of A Hole Parkers. Personally, tow every one of these jerks, how else is someone going to lean how not to park, hit them in the pocketbook.

Here was their response. It was a friend of theirs visiting from out of town. They were celebrating her birthday. So I am the Awhile for saying something about it... There is no parking on the street period so why complain about how the median island effects your parking situation? There is no parking period!

One neighbor responded they saw someone park in the median. Get out into my neighbors car in her garage and leave. Then why could you not parked in the garage or driveway now?

They also have not painted their fence. Have a green yard instead of Bermuda. they then claim I report them to the HOA. I have not.

I like the towing idea...

Yep. I have to vent because we do not own the HOA yet. What really got me? The fact their driveway was EMPTY!

This morning I noticed the car in the driveway. What was so hard about having your friend park in your driveway when you know there is no parking on the street. Plus you have room to park! They have 2 cars!

They have always acted "privileged" since moving in...
