is there a mobile version of this website or some way to make it easier to navigate on a smart phone?
it's really a pain in the butt to use constantly having to move back and forth to read a post and having to enlarge 500% just to click on some buttons. If this site is like most websites 80% or more access it on thier smart phone.

The easy way to find out: pull up the site on your phone. If it doesn't automatically adjust the display depending on the hardware, then it's unlikely that there is a mobile version. (This site seems to use basic old technology. We can't even edit posts or ignore individual posters, and the search function can be a pill.)

Given how long some of our posts and threads are, a smartphone is probably not the best place to view this site anyway. A decent sized tablet may work.

Not that I'm aware of.

I do know that the owners of the site are looking at doing a rework in the future.
You might want to make to tell them that option would be something you would use.

Use the contact hoatalk support option under the help tab.

A mobile version would make it easier for me to keep up on topics while driving home at night. As is, the text font size of this site is so small that I can't read it while driving very easily.

I'm going to assume this is sarcasm and you're not on your phone while you're driving. (Pro-tip: it's illegal where I live, and probably in other places too.)

I wouldn't bet on it.

Har.

I never underestimate the irresponsibility of my fellow drivers. We wouldn't need laws about it if everybody would think "gee, maybe I could kill somebody doing this" and then not do it.

Some years ago I listened to a talk about traffic accident statistics. The speaker said that most drivers act as if they're sitting in their living rooms instead of assuming that there is an assassin somewhere who is planning to ram their car and kill them. The stats suggest that driving is more like the latter situation.

(Don't get me started on new cars that essentially have a tablet computer on the dashboard. I think lots of the new safety and convenience features are actually distracting - if you have to take your eyes off the road to fumble with doohickies, not sure how that improves safety. I don't need to be entertained while I'm driving, looking for assassins is enough fun.)
