Over the past 8-9 years I've watched the yearly discussions on converting out 189 home single faly HOA to a POA. It's been shot down several times
mostly due to a lack of knowledge or understanding. Our HOA Board is allowed to convert to a POA without member approval. I just requires a vote by the BOD and notification to the memders and filing such an amendment at the courthouse.

Recently the issue has been raised again by our HOA attorney. This is the seconf or third HOA attoreney over the past 8-9 years that has suggested we convert to a POA.

Any thoughts on this?? Is it a good idea? is it a bad idea? If can present me with a few pro's and con's I'd really appreciate it.

Maybe this is specific to GA law, but what are the differences that would be considered advantageous to the board members?
