I'm trying to determine if I have an issue or if HOATalk has an issue.

When I try the search function on my desktop, running windows 10, I get a time out error.
When I try the search function on my laptop, running windows 8, it works as expected.

Would you please check and see if the search function is working for you.
If not, would you please post that it does not work, what error you see and your operating system.

Thank you,

Tim

I'm also using Windows 10 on my laptop and the search function works fine for me.

Use the Search function all the time, have never had any issues.

I do wish they had a search option to search thread titles only.

Tim,

Are you using the same browser on both systems? Do you have other browsers installed that you could try on the Windows 10 system? Have you tried incognito or in-private mode to make sure it isn't a cookie issue?

I don't get the error that the OP gets but the Search function works poorly. It doesn't return many hits for any given keyword.

Thanks to all. It does appear to be my issue.

Douglas,

Same browser on each.
I'll try cleaning out the cookies and see if it's that.
I'll also try the other things you mention before I start uninstalling updates to see if it's one of them.

Again, thanks to all.

I would also try clearing your cache before you start removing updates.

Thanks again everyone.

Turned out it was a browser internet setting (I found by comparing settings in the laptop and desktop).

Tim
