We have a very small community (47 property owners) and would like to start a HOA website. Since we are so small, with no amenities, our cash flow actually just covers expenses. Any recommendations for low, or no, price sites to help us with a website?

Thank you

Daniel,

Specific recommendations are not allowed per the posting rules (big yellow smiley face with caption "Our Posting Rules").

You can do an internet search or, perhaps, look at social media sites.

Is there anyone in your association that has IT skills that could volunteer to create the website? It isn't trivial, but someone with an IT background could build it. It would probably be less than $300/year for the webhost and to purchase the domain.

There up is a site with a tool that lets an “HOA” setup their web site in an “EXPRESS” manner for free. It has a robust set of features which I used for our community’s site.

Well...this website does provide services in setting them up, so there's an option you might consider. You may only be 47 members, but perhaps this wouldn't be as expensive as you think (there is something called comparison shopping, after all).

Or, why not contact a local college with a computer or IT program? You could hire a college student to set up something simple.

Type in your search into YouTube. Lots of great educational how to videos. You can easily get a free website

Just be sure that you own your Domain name. We had to go through the process of buying out our Domain from a place that a previous Board had set up a free/inexpensive website. We were ready to expand that to a more detailed website with more features and better functionality and the company that had our Domain name registered did not want to give it up to us. We of course did not want to change our web address. It was kind of a mess at the time trying to wrestle control of our Domain and website address.
