Venting about the usual shared living space noises, really trying to get why people are this noisy on a consistent basis?

My upstairs neighbor and I don’t like each other, she has proven she’s pissed after I had the office send her a violation with potential fine (after the HOA board meets). The first year she moved in she was noisy when there were guests and now it’s come to the point where it sounds like she’s moving things around on a consistent basis (even before the office sent her that notice). I just don’t get how you can be living here almost two years and it sounds like you’re moving. Things dropping, things dismantling, walking up and down etc. It’s one thing if you’re cleaning once a week or so but another if it’s daily. This is NOT normal living noises…anyone else agree?

I don't know what "normal" noise is. At this point you have gotten in your mind every noise made is something more than what it is.

When my grandmother died, I had to stay in my Aunt's apartment. I swear their upstairs neighbor was a bowling alley. Have no idea what they were doing to cause that noise but it seriously sounding like they were tossing a bowling ball toward pins.

Guess what if they were? None of my business. Not breaking any laws inside their unit by making noise. Unless it's loud music breaking established city laws, not much else can do but move or join the fun.

So... what is your plan for dealing with this issue, and what steps have you taken?

Do you know if the person is a caretaker for someone? It would not make the sound any better but would make it more understandable if someone is using a lift or something to move someone around a bed to prevent bed sores or something.

Tried approaching her didn’t stop, officers knocked, office sent her warning. Security came by & they sent her hearing violation (potential fine). Waiting to see if owner is fined at this point.
