In discussing how a self-managed association can approach work done by owners on its property, it was suggested to have any owner volunteering to help sign a waiver form. We think this is a good idea.

Rather than pay our attorney to draft one, I was wondering if anyone can share what they've used, or point me to an example I can use and send to our attorney for his sign-off.

TIA.

I get your community wants to save money by being self managed, but when it comes to legal jatters, buyback you think you can just cut and paste what someone else has done, especially since we all live in different states and your community may be a lot different than ours????

There are templates online you can buy, but there are different types: simple lability, release of liability, role specific, and even release forms for minors - and there could be others out there. And if you want homeowners to do work in the community, are you even discussing this with your association insurance????

I haven't mentioned the CAI website in some time, but I recall they had educational brochures and books on self managed HOAs and best practices. You may want to read a few.
