How Do I get a list of ALL homeowners' associations in the state of California and Arizona? Please help...

I have often done a Google search for HOA in my state and don't come up with any. I seem to have to know the name in order to find the association by mega search engine. It is frustrating and it would be nice if someone 'revealed' the secret to Wendy and I, if they knew it!

It would appear that the only agency that has a list of all the H.O.A. in Californis is in the possession of the Realty Board. They will not release it because it is their argument that this list will be used for polical information. They have enormous influence in the California Legislature when they think that their pocketbook is in jeapody. I've been trying to get a change in the California C.C & Rs' for the benefit of all H.O.A. in this state.

I live in ohio so I don't know if this will work for you but I suggest searching the websites of local title companies. One in our are posts all the deed restrictions for our area.

Hi. I am also trying find out how many HOAs are in the State of FL. Does any one know where this information may be found? It would also be interesting to know the number of homes and residents are under control of HOAs?

Wendy, I don't think you can find a list of ALL homeowners' associations nor ALL Management Companies in any state. Some real estate companies and title companies maintain partial lists in their local areas.

Ben I'm visiting for the first time. I noticed that you might be in a Calfornia HOA. It appears that many HOAs maybe in Florida and I believe laws could differ substancially from California. It seems best that I discuss things with another CA HOA with a similar design.
We are a group of 500 private residences sharing a grassy common area with pool, basketball and tennis.
What items are comparible to your situation?

Try searching the secretar of state's web page. In NC we can go type in association and a large list will appear - but it doesn't provide contact information. Owners associations don't want solicitations so they are hard to find.
