Does anyone feel that their By-Laws were written really well? That they cover most of the issues and problems you have run up against?...Can I see them?

I live in a single family home style development if it matters.....

ChrisB4: You would be better served to investigate other like-communities in your W.Va. area and check on their bylaws. They are governed by state docs which you can find on the Comm.Assn.Network website (yellow panel to left of this menu page) and search by state.

I'm very familiar with state law as it pertains to HOA's, WV code 36B and 31E. I would like to see the structure of a well written set of by-laws. I can just read them to get ideas of structure and content. I'm familiar enough to know what would pass state law and what would not.

We are a private corporation and if the residents adopt amendments then we can use them. You will find much of WV state law says that "unless your by-laws state otherwise......."

JoelL

I spent several hours reading various sections on your web-site. Its put together very well. I also noticed that your Bylaws are word for word, identical to mine here in Lawrenceville.

I thought covenant and Bylaws were similar, I wasn’t aware they could be identical.

Again, I like your site

Joel,

Thanks for offering yours. I read them and they are definitely more detailed than ours.
