Hello, I am in SC and our HOA association is planning to put in a concrete walk way/golf cart path to our pool are. Does the path have to be ADA compliant in SC?

You mentioned golf cart path, I'm sure they are slightly wider than 36" so the point about being ADA compliant is moot. I'm no engineer, but in my retail days, all aisles, floor stacks and gondolas had to have 36" of separation for wheelchairs. Be on the safe side and ask your local zoning and inspectors for ADA compliant paths.

I agree with LetA - just make the path ADA compliant. People can become disabled unexpectedly - just because they're fine today doesn't mean they'll be fine a week from today, and this way you'll be prepared for future needs.

ADA Compliant walk way is 36in wide. ADA Compliant golf cart path is 48in wide.
