If the board is meeting with a Parking control company to discuss hiring them, on Zoom, does this require a meeting notice?
We currently do do have a patrol but looking at hiring one.

This type of meeting would be characterized as the formation of a contract, which would be held in Executive Session. If this were a standalone meeting, two day notice is required. If it is part of the Open Session, before or after, four day notice is required.

Max is right. Are you on the Board, Jill?

Yes I am. I am wondering if we post today and the meeting is tomorrow if that works for 2 days.

Two days is 48 hours, so no, it doesn't work.

Please read you Bylaws about meetings, notices for them, etc. Also davis-stirling.com is an excellent resource for board members in CA. Go to their Main Index & click on Notices or meetings and then notice.

Did you check the Davis-Stirling.com site for the answer to this? If so, what part of the Davis-stirling.com site's answer does not make sense to you?

We wouldn't worry about any of this on my board. Just sayin'.

You don't have this law in SC. So, don't know why you wrote anything, Greg.

However silly it is (given that owners can't attend executive sessions), it's best to follow this CA legislation just in case there's some ankle biter in Jill's HOA who'd raise a fuss. And we don't always know who these people are.

Simple solution:

1) Don't have a quorum of directors in the meeting - it's then not a board meeting.
2) Record the zoom meeting so those who aren't attending can view it later.

So, what kind of meeting would be held?
