One of my neighbors who the HOA has filed a lien against (most behind dues owner in the association) and one the BOD is considering a foreclosure on, stopped me while I was out walking and said as you are on the BOD I have a question for you. I replied as a Member of the BOD and we have legal action going on against you concerning you, I will not talk to you about anything.

He told me to go have sex with myself and walked away. I replied and you have a nice day.......LOL

Hindsight may be 20/20. I would have said, "Since the HOA is represented by an attorney in the legal dispute the HOA has with you, I am prohibited by law from talking with you about the dispute." Because this is pretty much god's truth. Say one wrong thing, and you will have jeopardized the HOA's chances in court against this well-spoken gentleman.

When he used an expletive against me, I would take it as a badge of honor: I stayed cool. He did not.
