Virginia,
The president of the HOA is the owner and his wife co-owner the chairman of the ARC.
As they own the same property the president approves the ARC. We have the situation that two persons living under the same roof running key positions.
Can be accepted that the same family runs for more than one position?

BernardH - Is the chair of the ARC (committee) an elected position voted on by owners? I don't see how you can, or why you should deny one owner from being on the Board, and another co-Owner from joining a committee. Are you, or is anyone else willing to step up and volunteer time to be chair of the ARC?

Joe,
Did the owners or the board elected the ARC chairman and the volunters? I do not know, the board does not want to share or provide documentation (I got in the board 6 month ago). My motion was not seconded by the board when requiring that all information should be accessible to all homeowners.
Only the financial statement will be posted on the website in the future.

After sending few messsages the the ARC chairman asking who are the 3 volunteers, I never received a response from the ARC chaiman but at the end the pesident responded giving me the names of 2 board members and the first name of an owner since he did not recalled his last name!).

I am preparing a motion for the next month board meeting regarding this issue.
