We had our Membership meeting and did not reach a quorum to elect new board members. We set a recoven date, sent outthe reconvene letters and had to cancel due to the Texas winter storm. Do we have to send out letters again for the new recoven date and meet the 14 day requirement of notice? Or can we reconvene over zoom with 72 hour email notice? We just hate to spend the money when we know we will not reach a quorum and will have to send our 3rd round of letters. 3rd round the board makes the quorum.

I would do both, letters and email.

If proxies are allowed, I would also start knocking on doors asking be their proxy representative.

That said, having family in TX, I know that an annual meeting is likely the last thing on the mind of most individuals there. Good luck.

You can't control what people will Or won't do regarding the meeting but it's best to send the notices according to the documents. Otherwise people may complain about that.

Come see the current state of affairs in texas, I agree with Tim that it's unlikely anyone's thinking about association meetings right now. I don't think it'll kill you to delay the meeting for a maintenance nth or two until things calm daiw. Even if your community is doing ok, people may be busy assisting friends or relatives who aren't so fortunate.
