It looks like need to go to your profile and it's under account information. Not sure how to modify the account information just allows to do the Profile. So if you figure out account then can change it.

Maybe it is a 24 hour wait? It may be a time limit for the change to show up. The only place could find state listed was under account. It wasn't under Profile.

I think I'll change it and wait 24 hours (perhaps there's a site update that has to occur).

I'll know tomorrow.

I changed my region and made sure it was United States. Pulled down California. Seeing if it changed. Plus don't forget to hit the UPDATE button at the bottom.

Had to make another post. It quit letting me post/reply after I updated my profile location under My Profile. Changed it to California as a test.

OK, the procedure is as we thought. However, you then have to wait for the site to fully update.

Procedure to change your State:

Click on "My Account" (blue bar, upper left)
Click on "Manage profile"
Scroll Down page to Address Section
Under Region - Type the State you are in
Scroll down to bottom of page
Click "Update"

WAIT up to 24 hours

Your State will change

seems like archaic programming.

It does seem ironic considering that the people who built this site also advertise that they can build community websites. One would think that they would be concerned that customers might be hesitant to use them based on how outdated this forum is. With that said, I'm still grateful that they keep the forum alive. Lot's of good knowledge on this site!

It is a free site so one gets what they pay for.

Not really a concern.
