Seeking advice / recommendations on lawyers (or firms) practicing in Lafayette LA or surrounding area who have experience in assisting HOAs with enforcing covenant compliance. Specific interest lies with a firm well-versed in the Louisiana Homeowners Association Act and having court experience defending HOA rules and covenants. Thanks

Sorry, but the posting rules on this website forbid mentioning specific communities and businesses. That said, I think you may be able to send a private message to a poster who may be able to give you some suggestions, but you'll have to see if someone from Louisana responds to this.

Otherwise, you'll have to do it the old fashioned way. If your community has a property manager, you ask him/her for a referral. Ditto if you know of other HOAs in your community - ask their board members who they use. Or call the local bar association and get a referral that way. Be sure you ask for references and check them before hiring anyone. Good luck!
