Here's a link to an article that discusses new rules the FAA is adopting on emotional support animals and whether they can be allowed on planes.

Although a plane isn't an HOA, there have been discussions on policies concerning pets, service animals, and emotional support animals (yes, there's a difference between the two), so those of you who live in high rise condos may find this information particularly useful as you figure out a way to balance the legitimate need of a support animal while reducing or avoiding run-ins with state or federal anti-discrimination rules.

Florida has made it a misdemeanor to falsify claims about ESAs:

I hope other states follow suit, because this nonsense has gotten out of hand. And it negatively affects people who truly need such assistance since many have gotten their necks full and are less sympathetic to them.

Two nights ago they were talking about this on the news. They gave real examples of animals that the airlines have dealt with and it included an ostrich, a goat, a pig and a hamster. You just can't make this stuff up...
