What is the usually easement between communities common property from your property is it 10 or 15 feet? Live in Delaware.

This will depend on deed restrictions.

Since you specified the planting of trees, I offer the following:

I would also consider the kind of tree your wanting to plant. Some are better than others for certain conditions. May talk to an arborist. Our city actually has a beautification board that offers free information on such things. You may check out your city as well.

Keep in mind need to factor in how big these trees will grow in 20 years. You don't want to plant a species that has weak roots (Pines), blossoms alot (Allergies), or can be intrusive (some maples). Recently had to get a tree cut down called "Trees of Heaven". Found out they were brought over in the 60's from Asia. They are pretty but end up sprouting everywhere. Very annoying tree and not good.
