We have a Flock vehicle recognition camera at the one entrance to our neighborhood. We have found with some recent crime activity that vehicles come in the exit lane and exit by the entrance lane so we do not get the tags. Also, some perpetrators are walking in from a near by road outside the park.
Can anyone suggest an alternate system which their community uses. Is there a good way to make a DIY system?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Gary,
Why would you just put one one both entrance and exits sides? How did you get the license plate info from all your owners and visitors? Why only at one of your entrances and not all entrances?

Would full video be helpful?

How would better video help? Meaning so you identified an offender, what is next? Knowing who and doing something about it are two different subjects.

JohnC,

Agree that cameras, in general, even video is forensic in nature.

But, usually vehicle recognition cameras may or may not provide much more than the plate - full video would provide clear and legally obtained evidence of the people and the cars?
