Some of the realtors offer some coverage for resales and I like those, but I've never seen anyone collect on the builder extended warranty plans. Research claims on polybutylene plumbing pipes as an example. Having worked for 6 different builders for over 10 years, IMO, I just think that expectations are set abnormally high. Have you read the warranty that you're considering? If it's a new home, ask your realtor.
