Our HOA has a couple of intersections where speeders are exceeding the speed limit. We have received numerous complaints from home owners. What are boards doing about this situation.

Hi we're installing solar radar signs at the moment.

This presents a clear danger to residents. Consider speed bumps or other strategies to slow speeders. If the drivers live within the community, you can also issue a violation.

If the streets are public there is not much the HOA can do directly. However, you can call the local police department and ask for increased patrols, perhaps even an officer lurking near the intersection. Several tickets can change behaviour. Even one of those battery powered signs on a trailer displaying the posted speed and the measured speed can help.

You can also include words in the newsletter, on the website, and in meetings, as general comments.

If the streets are private, others have made suggestions.
