We're in the market for a projector.

Good size room. Lights adjustable by section.

Number in attendance ranges from 25 to 40.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Decent size flat screen TV, anyone's laptop, and an HDMI connector.

While TV solves, moving big TV around, and then storing it, is problematic.

I’m assuming you’re talking about using for meetings?

There are lots of cheap projectors on the market - lots. I’d go this way, and just use a wall or sheet. Waaay easier to store and transport. Likely cheaper, too.

I last used a borrowed one about a year ago. Hooked my MacBook up via a USB-C to HDMI cable.

Thanks Augustin and George

Flat screen wouldn't be large enough. Would need to be portable. Room is not ours.

Yes it's for meetings.

Hoping that someone can give recommendations on particular units. Max we would spend is $500-600.

Amazon has lots - just search, read the reviews, make sure it is bright enough and large enough for large rooms.

Being tech, these things cycle product years and features pretty quickly.

Here's good article, with lotsa links:

I would shoot for low price, perhaps buy from Amazon and try the device - then decide to keep or not. One can spend big bucks, but if it isn't being used but 23 times a year (12 monthly BoD meetings and one annual meetings plus another 10 committee meetings), perhaps it would be "sufficient."

There are some very inexpensive projectors - most of these, however, note they are not bright enough for ppt type projections.

I don’t know enough about these to pick, but the home type systems might be good enough.

Thanks for your thoughts Steve and George. Will probably get one of those walmart $100 deals.
