Our community only has a deed. We have no bylaws or other governing documents. Our current board has at will added new language and rules, a fine structure to those new rules and how they will be enforced. None of these were discussed in public meetings or voted on by the members. I was fined for one of these new rules. Per Ohio law I requested a hearing with the board to dispute. They are still fining me even though we haven’t had they hearing I requested. I have spoken to attorney and I’m not the only community member that is not happy with this new group. Thoughts on them creating rules/ fine/ enforcements. Also fining me without a hearing when I requested in writing as stated by Ohio law.

I have read our deed and also there is nothing registered with Ohio Secretary of State or county. I have also read Ohio
Laws chapter 5312

Thoughts?? I don’t want to go to court, but this doesn’t seem right.

I would sue them in small claims court because they don’t seem to be listening to reason or the law.
