Dear all; Our board requires a certified letter to report a violation? The problem is when the violation is something that could be resolved immediately they still say send a certified letter and give them 30 day to review then possibly 60 days!!
But when is your parking been blocked by the owner next to it that parks blocking the other to park? Or park so close the driver has to use the passenger door to get out of the car?
Is this reasonable way to handle something that is very enforceable?

This isn't about what the "Board requires," it's about what do your own governing documents say about how alleged violations should be handled? this might be in your Rules & Regs, but maybe someplace else. There should be st eps written down about how the board or property mgr. should proceed.

If the police say it's the HOA's problem I guess the issue involves an HOA-owned street or parking area?

Yes our parking is a common element the Board has complete authority over them, and yes we have a violation committee but I don't get any response from the Manager nor the Directors? And I really would like to avoid hiring and attorney for something that could be easily resolved, with a few letters and follow the violation rules?
