Our Treasurer just resigned and we are left trying to get on top of our accounting process.
We are using Quickbooks.
I am looking for a Model Chart of Accounts for an HOA to compare it to what we have.
Want to make sure we are covering all the bases.
Where could I find a model COA for a Homeowners Association?

There is no 'model' as QuickBooks generates the chart based upon what the USER inputs.

There may be a 'default' chart.

Google "annual report hoa pdf" or change hoa to condo.

Good as an example, but your HOA will be unique and have unique accounts.

Some small HOA's might only have 3 accounts. Income, expenses, reserve.

I'll give you ours. We have a small HOA 24 Units but the Chart of Accounts is quite good as a baseline. I'm pretty sure I even have it in excel format. I have a junk email account I use "[email protected]" so contact me there and I'll email this thing to you.
