I’m trying to find a good financial and management software for our association. What would you recommend? At a HOA Seminar a management company mentioned they use TOP software. If you use TOP can you tell me about the software and how much?

We also have TOPS and it's great. The problem I have is with having to re-class an expense from one account to another if an error is made. Most boards do not understand this or double entry bookkeeping. However on the other hand it does provide assurance that a transaction doesn't get deleted which is great for when you have to answer a auditor's question. I recommend that when you chose a software company to spend the extra money to bring them to your office and train the staff. When I first started at one company they were not using a good portion of the software because no one was trained or informed. Once your committed, your committed!!!!

MissyS: I have a program I wrote in Excell that is customised to your association needs. It is for a nonprofit assoc. with no employees. I am the tresurer of our Assoc. It is not as complicated as quickbooks or peachtree but it is not as detailed. This is not a management program but it is a accounting program. If your interested contact ([email protected]).
