Looking for comments/advice concerning a cable company bulk offer to our HOA. Good or bad?

It depends on your HOA's needs or wants. Our HOA we did not pay for cable. It was up to the individual. You also have to factor in the work required to install the cable system. It may require digging up yards or even streets.
What benefits do they promise if your HOA goes bulk? Is it a long term multi-year agreement? I typically recommend a HOA not enter multi-year contracts but keep them down to yearly as much as possible. Who knows what technology will bring next year?

I would honestly put off any bulk cable agreements where the HOA has to pony up money or any agreement that don't include laying fiber optic cable.
On the far side, 5G is coming to a town near you, it will put cable companies out of business.

Keep the terms short (3-5 years) so competition can be open and options made as technology improves.
You also need to look at what other providers are in your area and what they offer.

Look into retaining a cable counsulant. They can assist you wading thru offers from various companies , structuring the very best deals possible.most work on a percentage of savings fee structure so your out of pocket costs are zero

It might. A lot of the 5G sales pitches you hear are hype. The technology has promise, no doubt about that. Personally, I'd prefer fiber service.

I spoke to a HOA president in Ca. several years ago that was part of a Master Planned Community with 4700 SFHs. They rebill the Cable services a discount with the HOA dues. The contract stated that service can be suspended if dues are not paid. She claimed they have very low collections because people love their Cable and Internet. This was back during the housing crisis in 2008 and 09. Ca. is so soft these days the rules may have been changed but I loved the idea of taking something away from delinquent accounts.

Is it something in which the homeowners in your community have interest? A lot of them might not, especially the younger ones among whom cord-cutting is more common. I went streaming-only years ago and never looked back.
