I'm working on our budget and see that our property manager has fees of approximately 11% (of payroll amounts) for doing our payroll (six employees).

I'm wondering how this compares to what other associations pay for payroll processing since it seems high to me. We're in Florida.

Thanks for any input.

Not HOA specific problem. Simply google "payroll service" and start comparing prices based on your number of employees.

Is there cheaper ones out there?
Does the HOA want to switch?
Can the property manager be taught new ways of doing payroll?

And dont get hung up on the percent. It will be different for everyone. One HOA might pay $7.25 hour to employees. So a $100 fee will be a higher percentage than a HOA paying $25 hour for employees with the same $100 fee.
