Greetings,
I am a member of a HOA in Santa Rosa CA. My particular association is interested in gathering information on professional services from other local HOA's. We'd also like to talk about some of the experiences these neighbors of ours have had.

Is there anyone using this site from our locale?

Contact your nearest chapter of CAI (Community Associations Institute). They should have a directory of member HOA's as well as information on member professionals. They also have a superb national bookstore and lots of good information.
You can start with http://www.caionline.org/ and work down to the local level.
