What is involved in uploading pdf files to the net?

Not enough info here.. Do you already have your files converted to pdf? Do you need a file convertor? Is that the issue? Try PDF995 for free file file converter, if that's the case. You don't have to spend a lot of money on File conversion program. What's the real goal here?

Acrobat is available online as a "Reader" but not really a "converter" so to speak. You have to buy the WHOLE program to get all the options to convert. It should be under $200. You can buy it at most computer stores.

I am sure there could be some "free" ones on the net but be careful. They come with endless advertising, have a "short" lifespan, or come attached with possible viruses. So really find a trusted site if you go that route.

Which software are you using for your website? Front Page, Dreamweaver?..? Front Page has built-in utilities, or you can use ASP.NET, or FTP (which has a few security issues), or .. Did you build your own website, or someone else hosting it for you?

I would be glad to help you if you want and can give more specific details. As has been mentioned, there are a vast number of ways that it can possibly be done, but you will have to tell more to know which one to use. I am not sure what the best to contact me is as I really don't want to put my email address here.

You have to access the website using an ftp program. These are included with Frontpage and other web page editing programs or you can just download many ftp programs for free. To access the website you'll need the website host name, user ID, password, and or account number. The ftp program will allow you to copy the files from your local PC to the web site’s host computer. You’ll also need to modify or create a page on the web site that links to the pdf files.
Whoever created your web site should know how to do this. If your’s is a really simple web site like the free ones, you’ll need to find out from the host if they allow uploading files. They should also be have information on how to do this using their interface.

KevinK1 - that may or may not be true for his website. FTP is just one of many ways that might work. Many websites don't allow FTP access; mine don't. As you pointed out, but best first step is to find out who maintains the website and determine what is the proper procedure.

Sorry, I'm dumb. I never remember to look at the date.

What does the date matter if the subject is the same?

There are those here who frequently post links to existing (older) threads for the same purpose.

RwT (who I suspect is also known as JayP3, aka PeterD3),

As you know, it's typically best not to reactivate old threads.
