Hi Everyone,

We are a HOA management company for a condo association. We want to set up a DO NOT REPLY email distribution list for informative emails to all owners. Can you please tell me which service you use for this?

Thank you and much appreciated.

By doing so, you are asking to be "blacklisted".

Do a Google search "how to send do not reply email".

Kat,

Posting rules on this forum prohibit the mentioning of names. Hence, Richards reply.

My Association sends email messages to a group. We send the email normally but the send to is the name of the officer sending the mail. All other names are done as blind copies. This keeps all emails safe and prevents anyone from replying to all (as they can only reply to the one sending the email).

Example:

From: Maintenance@HOA
To: Maintenance@HOA
Bcc: memberA;memberb;etc
Subject: abc

I don't see any names listed. BCC is a common email term that means, "Blind Carbon Copy", it's not the name of an entity.

It's when the no-reply email address is phony that you might encounter problems since many bounced emails tend to raise red flags in the various "spam" detection algorithms. If it's actually a real email address that can receive replies then you'll be fine. Simply ignore any replies and empty the inbox regularly.

Here is cheap way of doing it. Get a free Hotmail, yahoo, or gmail account. Use the HOA's name as the email address. When signing up the account put "Do NOT Reply" in the name section. Don't put a real name in that form you fill out. Then test it by sending yourself an email from that account. See what it appears as. It should arrive with the email name and then for the person it's from "Do not reply email from XXX HOA".

They can still reply but doesn't mean it has to be replied to. Plus the board can have access to this account by sharing the password/log in information. So it can be monitored by the HOA. So can be used to mass distribute but if you don't want to reply don't have to.
