Does anyone have an example of a pool maintenance RFP that could be sent out to potential pool maintenances contractors? I am not experienced in this but am looking for an all-inclusive contract based upon a good DRFP that I could send out to potential pool maintenance contractors.

We had 2 separate ways we dealt with our pool. We paid someone like $100 - $200 a week to take care of the pool and pool area. They would add the chemicals required and check on it once a day in the summer. Would add water if needed and shock it if necessary. The HOA would pay for the chemicals/supplies.

Now as for repairs or pool advice we would hire a local pool company. Which those costs varied. Our pump was barely hanging on. It blew up twice on me. So be prepared to suffer some emergency expenses or repairs. Ours had a leak for years. It cost us $2K to get it located. It cost us more just to pay for the actual repair. It takes a specialist to locate leaks.

Our area the county regulates pools. There are so many of them it's basically whatever pool receives a complaint do they investigate. You just still need to be prepared for an inspection if your county requires them.

You may be able to find someone in your HOA who knows pools to volunteer or be paid a small price to take care of it. I'd suggest consulting with a pool company for an evaluation of your needs. Plus find out what services they offer.

Check with your local health department or local governing body that regulates pools. Our HOA the pool servicer handles the whole smash from cleaning and chemicals to pump and filter maintenance. Our pool company even has a janitorial division that cleans the loos at the pool house.
