Are your annual meetings on a week day or weekend?

We have had both.

For us, a weekday (tues, wed, thurs) around 7p.m. seems to get the most turn out.

In twenty years we've never had a board or member meeting on a weekend, always weekdays.

OK. We just had an annual meeting with low turnout. Wondered if weekend meetings made a difference.

Ours are Tues. 6pm, the same time & night as our monthly open board meetings. Our Mgmt. contract for the past 12 years has stated we'd have to pay OT for any meeting our PM attend if on a Friday evening or over the weekend.

Since Owners here may vote by US mail, attendance doesn't matter for quorum. Still, we try to entice attendance with wine & some munchies.

We do Saturdays in April or early may. (Because we could use the golf pavilion before it went belly up). We do wine and heavy appetizers to attract a crowd.

Ours is on a weekday (just had it this week) - it usually precedes the regular meeting

Sheila reminds me that we have an Executive Session, then a regular open board meetings, then the annual meeting and finally an organizational meeting for the new Board to elect officers.
