I was wondering how long after final payment of an Outstanding Account Balance where an Assessment Lien for HOA Dues was filed does the HOA have to release that Lien? We are in Oklahoma and are completely volunteer (Board of Directors) managed- we do not have an outside company managing business for us. I know it should be as promptly as possible, but we do not have ready access to a Notary Public so our President can sign the form around his work hours and being able to get in and out of our County Court Clerk's office is a nightmare due to construction and parking issues. We just need to know if there is a time limit and I cannot seem to find the info anywhere. Thanks!

This is more of a legal question. May be able to ask a legal service. Some states individuals can not file liens. It has to be a lawyer to file the lien. So I am not familiar with what the process is for Oklahoma. You may want to call the clerks office there and ask them. They should know. Most of the time once someone pays the lien, it should be released. The question is where is the check going if you have not received one?
