Ask for everything. Read all the documents carefully and completely. Then if you have questions you can ask them to the BOD.

Our treasurer puts out an annual statement showing where every penny goes.

Welcome, Kyle. We have a few posters from FL here who might give you a detailed answer.

The documents you rec'd when you closed should tell you how to request documents to inspect. Might be in your Bylaws. FL also might require that a detailed annual budget to every owner at the beginning of the fiscal year. I would ask for that first.

If you ask for "everything," you might annoy the Property mgr or board of directors, so I'd start out small.

Many don't. It's just easier for us to keep everyone informed. That way nobody can say they didn't know.

As a property manager, i would take the call and go over with them what the concerns might be. I might direct them to the web portal set up that has the association['s documents including a budget, as well as their governing documents.

Don't worry about asking for "everything" and annoying the PM or Board of Directors. That is what I am paid for. In the associations I manage, I am the one that sends out information, not the Boards.

A condo's dues will typically be higher than a HOA and a small Condo association will typically be more expensive than a larger one, as there are less souls to share the pain.

Richard P I commend you as a PM looking out for your properties. Not trying to keep things secret. I commend you.

RichardP, that is awesome! I only wish my PM was as efficient. He sends us to the attorney when he does not want to share info that is our right, as per DCA in NJ!
