Are ear buds required for use at the pool? Some people here use the radio and oft times has it too loud.

Alex, once again, you need a written rule to not have radios, etc. at the pool. We have a rule that earbuds must be used in the pool/BBQ area & in the gym of our condo HOA.

Do you? If you do make one, how will you enforce it given you have no schedule of fines at your HOA?

Could you send the wording that you have for the use/non-use of ear buds?

Here is the wording we use... "Excuse me? Can you turn down the volume on your earbuds? Thank you."

For you, Alex, from our rules & Regs.: "Portable TVs and radios are not permitted unless used with headphones."

Ah, good point, Geno. This rule of ours was written in '01. I suspect, however, that our Board would not hesitate to enforce "the spirit" of our rule, which is obvious. Luckily, we've had no residents try to test it.

Guess could make it: Any audio and/or video devices are not permitted unless used with headphones.
