Two members of our HOA, who share an attic, are in conflict over the footprint of their space. How do they determine where the boundaries should be? One says the interior walls, and the other says from the roof line. One person has measured the space in the unit and measured the same amount of spsce in the attic; the other says the roof line above the units clearly shows where one unit beginss and the other ends.
Need input.

Read your governing documents.
They should specify what belongs to the owner and what is the Associations.

You need to question "Why is this an issue?" Are the owners wanting to do something in their attic spaces which might not be allowed per the CCR's? YEP ... I would definately be wanting to know why this is now an issue.
