We're planning on recalling our current Board of Trustees after four months of extensive investigation and research. After they are voted out, how long should they have to turn over all the records? It isn't specified in our bylaws. I live in a planned community of 28 townhomes in Ohio.

I doubt you will find any statute or bylaw that gives a specific time frame.

Personally, I would expect it at the 1st meeting of the new board (as that is when we turn books over with normal elections). If the records are not turned over at that time, then I would have two of you knock on the door and ask for the records.

With such a small community, I expect a recall is dividing the development.
The first thing you will need to work on is unifying the community again.
