There's a gentleman interested in running for the Board. He is not the unit owner; he is the husband of the unit owner.

Our Bylaws state:

Where an Owner consists of more than one person,
or is a partnership, corporation, trust or other legal entity, then one of the persons constituting the
multiple Owner or partner, officer or trustee, as the case may be, of the partnership, corporation, trust
or other entity, Owner shall be eligible to serve on the Board of Directors of the Association, except
that no Lot may be represented on the Board of Directors by more than one person at a time.

That being the case, is he allowed to run for the Board? We have apathy and are struggling to get a Board together, but would this be allowed? Just curious of your thoughts.

NO, unless he is an Owner, not a spouse.

Agree ... Unless his name is also listed on the property title per what you stated from the CCR's.

Oops ... Meant to state Bylaws not CCR's.
