I am doing a vlog series on HOAs about what I am learning, big topics of discussions, and challenges HOAs face within the board and community. Does anyone have any input, stories, or opinions that maybe we could have a conversation which you wouldn't mind me sharing?

What is the purpose of the vlog? Who is your audience?

The purpose is to share what I have learned, solve community issues within the HOA focusing on the HOW. How is the issue taken up to the board or right management to take care of the issue? How is it tracked? How do you make it efficient and solved in a timely manner? that is one example for instance. Some states require that the buyer sign a disclosure acknowleging the existance of an HOA, but not all states. It would reduce some issues we have seen on this site if ALL States required such a disclosure. Granted individuals should do their homework before making a huge purchase, but it is amazing how many do not take the time and effort. At least if they had to sign a disclosure they have a heads up to ask appropriate questions and for documents, then cannot later say I did not know.

@timb4 I've learned what CC&Rs, and bylaws are. I learned HOAs run like a non profit corporation. What is an HOA is a governing body to help the community run itself, and all kinds of challenges majority have been not having enough community participation to participation being very minimal. I'm still learning so check out the youtube channel. submit your opinions, input, advise, stories and whatever you'd like in the comments!
