Can anyone advise me on evaluating installing utility sub-meters in our 18 unit building in Southern CA? I'm particularly interested in understanding the costs, benefits (other than what I have read online), process of installing gas and water sub-meters. I've talked to DWP and their costs were excessive so I'm now trying to evaluate private companies (any recommendations?). Has anyone had any experience with this? What are appropriate fees that would be collected by the companies?

Thanks!

Suzanne,

Posting rules prevent the posting of company names, etc. Typically, when a request similar to yours arises, you are encouraged to post an email address you can be reached at. This way, those who desire, can contact your directly.

I STRONGLY suggest not using your normal email address. Simply create one using one of the many free email sites for this purpose and post that one.

Hope this helps,

Tim
