Recently a bill was passed in the Colorado Senate (SB100) which restricts some of the power of a HOA. One of these issues is that HOA's cannot restrict the parking of Commercial Vehicles if the vehicles are required to be available to the homeowner as a condition of the homeowner's employment. Is there a way around this new bill?

Is there a way around this new bill? >> Not unless you can get it declared unconstitutional. State law always override your CC&Rs. You can work to have the Legislature repeal or amend it next year.
Does this bill limit the size of the vehicle? Harold

Lyle, the way around this bill is to use the same process as was used to get it into the new bill - SB06-89. Lobby your representatives to change back to what was in SB05-100 or something similar. I personallly believe several of the changes to SB05-100 which were made in SB06-89 were not well advised and were degrading.
