Eight years ago when we purchased our lot we signed a covenant and restrictions. Since then there have been many changes by the developer to the covenants and restrictions. We do not agree with some of the changes and the possible effect on the value of our home. Do we have to honor these revisions which we have not been asked to sign and what are our legal rights?

It would depend on what you did sign. Does what you sign have provisions that would allow the developer to amend? Does what you sign have provisions that would allow them to amended in general? Typically the answer is yes and you will need to become very familiar with the original and all of the amendments.
